Feasibility Study on Cyber Assistance

Project duration:

01/2024-12/2025

Background:

The feasibility study on cyber assistance is a research project of the Federal Agency for Technical Relief (THW). Against the background of the German government’s coalition agreement 2021-2025, this study examines whether and to what extent THW, as a civil protection organisation, can expand its competencies in cyber assistance in the form of extended operational capabilities to deal with cyber-related disasters.

In the context of the Federal Government's digital policy, the study seeks to analyse the needs, framework conditions and courses of action regarding the THW's operational capabilities in the field of cyber assistance. The study is designed to be open-ended.

The project is funded by the Federal Ministry of the Interior and Community.
