Background:

The lighthouse project LARUS-PRO is part of the "Innovations in use - practical lighthouses for civil security" program. In addition to technical development work, the project also includes work packages dealing with sustainable training and operational concepts, as well as extensive testing and trialing of all aspects. The THW will be involved in all phases of the 30-month project from the perspective of the operational end user and will coordinate other end users together with the BRK (Bavarian Red Cross)

Ojectives:

Based on the results of the previous LARUS project, objective of the project is to expand the range of applications of the already successfully tested fixed-wing drone system. The aim is to achieve a level of maturity that will potentially allow the system to be integrated into existing BOS structures (authorities and organizations with security tasks) in the near future.
