From September 30 to October 2, 2024, the ForAn Proposal Writing Bootcamp III took place. At this "Proposal Writing Bootcamp," members from three consortia met in Düsseldorf to refine their proposals together. The 25 participants from all over Europe had three days to get to know each other, fine-tune details, and develop new ideas.
ForAn supported the event with logistics and professional expertise. The bootcamp is part of ForAn’s three-stage workshop concept, which provides structured knowledge to help consortia create successful EU research proposals.
Participants were informed about ForAn's activities by Regine Gerhards and Kerstin Grözinger from the ForAn project. Afterward, the different teams worked independently on their proposals.
On the second day, Dr. Laura Schaffner from EM Strasbourg Business School shared her experiences as a longtime evaluator for Cluster 3 in a lecture. The talk was well-received by the participants.
On the final day, Julia Henn and Stella Nüschen from the National Contact Point for Civil Security joined the group to answer project-related questions and provide guidance on the proposal submission process. The day ended with an open feedback session moderated by ForAn coordinator Alexander Rösner. Feedback was very positive, and the bootcamp significantly advanced the teams and their proposals.
We wish the consortia continued productive collaboration and hope that their project proposals will convince the EU and be rewarded with funding!
